There has been a growing trend to give generously in the stitching community. In fact, when my premature daughter was in the hospital for four months, I received a huge box of preemie-sized clothes from a charity that I found on the Internet. My kid was the best-dressed baby in the NICU.
Finally, I'm getting a chance to give back. On Sunday, I started knitting the red scarf that I promised H for the red scarf knitalong. I haven't figured out how to post to the group yet, but I will eventually figure it out.
The yarn is Patons Merino wool in bright red. The pattern is a very simple and straightforward one: k3, p1 rib, and slip the first stitch to reduce the curl.
I plan to work on it when I want something mindless and simple. I have until February to get it done.
